We expect to have approximately 100-120 campers each week, supervised and taught by a team of 15 trained staff and volunteers.
We’re building a diverse team of dedicated staff ages 15 and older who are focused on delivering a safe and engaging STEM and outdoor learning program.
Our Camp is open to all children regardless of gender identity. Each year about 40% of our campers are girls! We welcome and encourage ALL children to join us for a summer of STEM fun!
At this time, yes. We’re committed to keeping children safe, and we’ve found that younger children need more support throughout the day. We’re not equipped to provide high levels of support and rely on parents, guardians, and volunteers to provide this additional support and supervision.
Yes, thanks to the generosity of other camp families and donors, we have money set-aside each year for financial aid that we call “Camperships”. Camperships are need-based, and are awarded for up-to 50% of the camp fee. You can fill-out our Campership request for at this link.
As part of the registration, you can add multiple kids to the session registration. The registration system is set up to apply the $10 per additional child discount automatically, but if you have problems, you can contact us at camping@colbsa.org
Sorry to hear of the trouble! Any questions about the registration process or trouble with having the discount applied can be sent to camping@colbsa.org, or call us during business hours at (610) 688-6900.
You can view our refund policy here.
The STEM Adventure Day Camp is a STEM and outdoor learning focused program. While it does pay homage to the Camp Garrison’s Cub Adventure Day Camp through some of its programming its not strictly a scout camp and is open to the general public.
STEM Adventure Day Camp still includes outdoor recreational programming such as Range and Target Activities, fishing, and outdoor skills.
We’re shifting to a STEM focus where we’ll be conducting hands-on experiments. We now have a mostly paid camp staff that is trained in their teaching area, supplemented by volunteers.
